Here is a list I compiled of firewalls for Linux and Windows, formatted and alphabetized for your viewing pleasure. Sorry all you Mac users, you're out of luck Maybe someone else could make a list of Mac firewalls.

If anyone knows of any more that I didn't include in this list (I am sure there are many of them) please feel free to post them and I will add them to the list. Also, if you find any errors (broken links, etc) please post or PM me and I will fix them ASAP.

Please forgive me if this has been done before.. I searched and found nothing that looked like a list of firewalls.

I'm not sure if this is the type of information you wanted regarding your list, but here goes . . .

There are FREE versions of Kerio Personal Firewall as well as Outpost and Trial/Buy versions of Sygate and Zone Alarm (Pro versions). It is also possible to download the Free version of Tiny Personal Firewall (not on their site), although it is no longer supported. The only reason these particular programs jumped out at me is because I'm familiar with them.

MsMittens, I've included a quote of your post under the new Mac section at the bottom... I've added <--free labels to a couple that vvirtho recommended... SirDice, is the OpenBSD Packet Filter you suggested that same one as I have on my list? They have the same name but different sites... I won't add it yet but if they are indeed different things I will.

The PF code should be the same. I just pointed to the port for FBSD, for easy installation (and it isn't widely known you can run PF on FBSD). The port also has it's own page made by the porter to note any differences. When the port first came out not all functionality had been implemented. It looks like it's 100% compatible/same now.

Ok, thanks SirDice for the clarification. Unfortunately, I can't edit my above post anymore so I can't add anything.
