Hi John,
You should have Spybot Search & Destroy? go into the "immunize" bit and check the box?
I am too damn lazy to tell you the real way............and that will work
Cheers

hi
Second way would be not to use Internet Explorer and insted use Mozilla i have never had this problem in mozilla or netscape.
--Good Luck--
[EDIT]
nihil i had Spybot earlier and i checked this option, but still got infected with homepage hijacks a few times, i have uninstalled Spybot and use AD-Aware and CWShredder both coz i find both combined more effactive.
Just my two cents

Your best bet is not to run software which changes it.
This involves engaging in safe computing practices, i.e. NOT downloading and installing random stuff.
Any software which changes your settings without your permission is considered mal-ware by me.
