    I got unsolicted email from these guys today:

    It looks suspiciously similar (in terms of idea) to that wordofmouth.org spam that I kept getting a while ago. They send you an email saying "someone has put your details in our database... blah blah" and then try and get you to sign up for "premium membership" so that you can contact them. It's a bit like those text messages I keep getting saying that someone has put my name into their dating service and I should ring this premium number to find out who it is.

    I wonder if there might be a data protection act angle as well...............you would be posting personal information belonging to someone on the site?

    Well, in that case in telling me you have saved me the £1.50/min charge for finding out.

    Besides, next time I get one of those messages, I can hopefully prosecute the company involved since my number is registered with the TPS and they made it illegal to send out unsolicated SMS messages last December.
