It's hard to judge the value of a course like this for several reasons:

    1) The course outline is not a guarantee of course content quality.
    2) Your perceived "value" of $1,500 is different than mine/others.
    3) Participants that you network with may be at the same level (or lower) than you.
    4) Materials given to you may not be useful (free software, texts, etc.)

If I were you, I'd speak to a bunch of people who have taken a course offered by the course sponsors and see what you come up with. This still isn't a written guarantee but at least you'll have a better sense about what you'll get out of the course.

I most likely will be going to interzone #3 on the 16nth if everything goes as planned. Its another small Atlanta based conf. but It'll supposably have stuff like telescopes, firearms, porno with some chick useing nmap, & (ect). Its all to make up the for fact that it covers very little based on computers or computer security. But even though Atlanta based cons lack alot of things they seem to have speeches setup which are similiar to the ones you have listed. And chances are since its right here in Atlanta I will only pay a few dallors for gas and maybe 20$ to 60$ to get in but even if it sucks I've still managed to get out of the house for awhile.

And I hate to say this but I've probably seen MS training that wasted more time yet managed to be cheaper than $1,500. But then agian thats just me... this is the thoughts and random posts of a man who is now just a lame noob agian. Speaking of spending money on crap Check this
