    Cannot open C:\WINNT\system32\config\system.log

    Hi,

    My computer was working fine yesterday but when I tried to use it today, it gave me the error of "C:\WINNT\system32\config\system.log".

    The exact error is that it cannot open C:\WINNT\system32\config\system.log

    Any prompt help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    I'd suggest that you do a clean re-install, as your Os (Operating System), needs this file along with some others to start, and so i'd just do a format of the HDrive, then re-install.
    Or maybe if you got access to another computer that is running the exact same Os, then mount your drive as a slave, and then boot up that box and just copy the certain file into place.
    Don't know if that would work cause i've never done it..
