me3883,
Do not be in the lest bit surprised about any implied or direct negativity about your request. These are folks who spend their life preventing, cleaning up, and undoing exactly what you want to do. You probably didn't read the LARGE BANNER in the center of the page, before logging in. Here's what it said:
What AntiOnline is NOT:
AO is not a place where the community's knowledge is used or passed on to others in order to carry out illegal or immoral acts.
AO is not a place where you should be asking how to exploit/damage/attack any system that you do not own nor have the explicit permission of the legal owner.
What can you expect from AntiOnline:
You can expect to be treated in the same way you treat the AO community.
If you understand what AO is and is not, you can expect to be helped and to help others learn the art of computer/network security.
If you request information in a way that implies your intent is illegal or immoral...(end)
Static displays are impressive and will help improve your grade. However, since you are obviously not versed in dealing with trojans, virus types, and the like, you could cause some real trouble and end up kicked out of school and possible in jail. There are numerous ways to demonstrate the affects without actually deploying a trojan. With that in mind, I would recommend modifying your thought process. Just as an example, to demonstrate (legit) methods of access, you could use telnet, hyperterminal, etc. No harm with that, but the results are almost the same.
cheers

We have an isolated test network set up. It has a Windows 2003 Server as the DC, running DHCP, DNS, and Exchange 2003. There are 10 client computers running Windows XP Professional. We have no AV software running on the network. The purpose of the network is to introduce virii and worms, to study how they destroy the network. After that, we are going to rebuild the network and install AV software, and reintroduce the virii/worms. Pretty fun stuff for school work, huh?
Anyway, does anybody know of any sites with live virii and worms? I've searched Google, but I have a headache from reading too much l337.
He's using it for tests on an isolated network. He also asked for viruses and worms....not trojans such as sub7. The first one looks legit and it doesn't look like some kid trying to impress his friends how he access his school's computer from his home. Lets say the first one has socially engineered us in a much more effective way . Also, he most likely got negged by someone who likes to jump the gun and then some senior member thought he didn't deserve to get negged so he gave him some APs...although undeserved.

The only real difference as I see it is that to experiment with virus attacks and defence/detection you really do need live ones.
Trojans can be demonstrated with legitimate remote support software or operating system features. And that would be far safer?
But I don't see much about this thread to get excited about? It might just have been worded a bit better, like explaining how the demonstration was to be conducted, and so on?
Just my thoughts

Err so now your changing your story.. It's not going to be you demonstrating it on school computers at school anymore it's your going to do it on your own computer's at school, now that everyone is objecting to your purpose? Hrmm.. sorry pal, your story seem's a little far-fetched to me. And your not an idiot, your a kiddiot. There's no need for you to be cool to your friends, and if that's your intention than just say it now. Otherwise, follow TheSpecialist's plan

Perhaps I or someone else have not explained clearly...
There is nothing to show that is worth showing. As everyone else said, anything you can connect to and remotely control will do... and make your friends think your smart or cool. And there are plenty of tutorials to cut and paste from which will explain how to stop the startup of malware. As for "how it works" I would hardly think your class would care at all about API calls, file I/O for binding & dropping, encodeing & tunneling, or TCP/IP in general. Even if this is really & truely for your school, you asked us to think and make good grades for you... it just makes you all the more the bigger lamer up in here.
Now I gave you something to play with a long time ago so go mess around with it or some other piece of ****. LEAVE GO! DIE!

Sorry man, but damn. I forgot who, but someone said you would never pull this crap with thehorse13, MsM, Neg, etc because they're probably smarter than you or your afraid of them, intellectually. I guess that's the case, but why don't you try some *ish with them?
