Warcraft 3 completely installed but keep getting error message

Goodday!

OS: Advance 2000

Problem:
Warcraft 3 completely installed but keep getting error message displayed below....

" Warcrat III was unable to initialize DirectX.PLease ensure that you have DirectX8.1 or newer installed and that your display drivers are current, Direct X may be found on your Warcraft III install CD uder Options."

I have installed DirectX 8.1 but it doesnt work!
I tried DirectX 9 but still doesnt work!

Need help!
