    what are the best MOBOs out there

    recently my abit kd-7RAID MOBO had taken a crap on meh
    the chipset fan failed and well you know what happens

    so no im in the market to buy a new MOBO
    just curious on what anti online members think of the ones available and what ones are actually worth buying


    if you can put your 2 cents in i will take it into account and make a selection based on the results


    so... what do you think the best board is out on the market for a reasonable price?

    We used GigaByte boards for most PCs we sold where I used to work and we had a very few problems with them....but that was a year ago.

    I am loyal to ASUS

    I run their P4C800 and P4P800 series boards, and they preform excellent.
    Never had a problem with any of them.


    Move to hardware?

    I'll second the ASUS.


    I've been lusting over this SMP system i thought up running off of dual Xeons on one of the new ASUS boards.


    Mmmmm... Technolust....
    Real security doesn't come with an installer.

    I like the ABITs. I had a IC-7G and was sweet. The only problem, the IDE's were on the side and way on the bottom... also, there were two and not 4 IDE's

    D0pp139an93r ........ that is exactly what I am running at home at the moment ... Asus PC-DL with dual Xeons running my gentoo box ....... nice is probably an under-statement

    No prob's with the Asus here.

    A7N8X Deluxe nVidia nForce2-ST ASUS board



    but there is an X and an E a7n8x and a7n8e wich is better?
    i was really leaning to this particular one with n force chipset
    is there a better one?
