I checked a couple of other of threads and didn't see any probs there. Not saying it was an isolated event only that I didn't see anymore looking superficially.

As MsMittens pointed out, this means a user downloaded the attachment more than once.

I've seen this tons of times.
Not trying to dis you, mnstrgrl, but I think another thing that causes it is when someone who is not logged in downloads an attachment. The system still counts the download, but doesn't know who to link it to.
I've actually done this myself after noticing the same thing a while ago. By clicking on an attachment while not logged-in, then refreshing the page, the count goes up by one, but the names stay the same.

You're correct, I believe anonymous users DLing the file would also raise the count.
