    we actually use kiwi. didn't think of actually using it to monitor web access though. that's a good idea thanks!

    Actually this is not a feature of ISA but of Internet Explorer. IE automagicly logs in (under water so to speak) the user when needed (if you set ISA to accept NTLM authentication).

    That being said you could use squid (for the proxy part) in combination with samba (for the NTLM authentication) as mentioned by cacosapo.
