help display problem help

ok i have windows xp and windows xp has that nice 3d look well when i go on display properties then on aperance on the scroll down list for windows and buttons i only have windows classic help how do i get the 3d back please help

right_click on the start button properties switch to classic, is that checked? Then right_click on your background ,properties, themes tab, choose XP.

file is corrupted when I try to unzip it. So, I'm going to ask oen thing:

1. Is your themes service turned on to even be selected?

Start button> control panel>administrative tools > Services

Make sure the 'Themes' service is not only turned on, but also set to Automagically load.

Go to your themes tab and make sure you don't have it set for windows classic

Looking at the background and the font you used I'm wondering if you didn'y d/l some theme package that mught have "taken over".... However.... The prettiness of windows has never bothered me, (I still just use the basic they give you.... except I set folders to "list" instead of silly icons), so I can't be of much assistance past the above.

BTW, your second post wasn't exactly necessary... Frustrated you might be, but there's no need or point taking it out in this forum.... It makes you look dumb, not us.....
