A proud day for me
This is a proud day for me. Not just because my cousin Graduated today and is out having a game of "Who can get alcohol poisoning first" but because I have just whipped the ass of my uptime record.
I now have:
55 days 7 hours 40 minutes.

My last uptime of 53 days was whacked by a power outtage that lasted longer than my UPS. This uptime is on SuSE Linux 8.2 Professional, and the 2.4 Kernel.
Also, I'm feeling A LOT better. I'm not stuffed up, caughing, or gagging

AND!!!! I'm not hung over anymore!!!!
On Friday, My Aunt, my other Aunt, and Me, and my Mom were drivbing around bored, so we stopped at a bar I've been to in the past...don't remember much either time...Anyway, I got my first round free, so I got Cognac of course. A double. I don't get it "On the rocks" because it don't need ice, just a glass.
Anyway, after pounding down a few rounds, I was a bit ****ed. at this point I had the entire bar laughing and **** because well, I guess I am funny when I'm drunk. The Bar tender that was bringing me my drinks was HOT and I was ... I'm not sure, I know a few of the people working there gave me a few drinks free, but I didn't find out why until today because after the first few rounds things are a bit patchy. I found out today it was because she loved me and thought I was funny as hell, so she gave me some free drinks.
I remember walking out of the bar...If you could call it walking, considering I was stumbling and walking side to side, and then falling in my Aun'ts car. Then I'm not sure about the ride home. I guess I made people in the car laugh as I guess I made someone in the car actually pee themselves laughing.
Then I do remember getting out of the car, taking a step, and whipping out my wang and peeing on the lawn....Like right by the road. LOL, I make sure people have fun with me lol. I passed out on the porch, then walked in the house, passed out on the floor.... And not sure of much else, but I cralwed into bed, then got a few hours sleep and had to go to work...HEh, it was NOT fun.
I woke up still kind of drunk. I lost count of how many rounds I had of Cognac, but I did see the Bar lady open a new 5th. And I had a few more after that. I'm not doing that again for a while, my stomache would have kicked my ass given the chance for that night.
Anyway, I did have fun....I think lol. So what kind of uptimes do you guys have going? I'll try for a pic in a little while.
TheHorse 13 and Zombiemann77 can tell you how I was acting somewhat when I got home from the bar, because I had messages left on AIM laughing when I woke up the next day.

Hi Gore
Also, I'm feeling A LOT better. I'm not stuffed up, caughing, or gagging
I guess I have taken over from you there.............we have this ornamental tree.......Laburnum, and I am as allergic as hell to it It is in full flower right now!
Good to hear you got over your bug/cold.............they are a real pig when you get them spring/summer
You must have a decent power supply, out here you wouldn't last 7 days without a power outage.....so I guess you might as well run WinME and get used to it
But for uptime, I still think VMS is the kiddie
Take care

Nice uptime. The best uptime I have right now is a webserver at 99 days, 1 hour, 56 minutes and 12 seconds. (It will be ruined in a bit because I am moving the server from work to home)
According to MS's uptime tool (http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nt...me/default.asp)
N00b> STFU i r teh 1337 (english: You must be mistaken, good sir or madam. I believe myself to be quite a good player. On an unrelated matter, I also apparently enjoy math.)

Its my personal webserver running 3 websites (1 personal, 1 friends website, and one commercial website) on Win 2k with IIS. The personal websites get more email traffic, but the commercial one gets a lot of people going to it. Its pretty decent since MS has a lot of patches.
And as far as the clan server goes.... I dont run that server but do have admin. I can play with the config, but I am not totally sure about what I do since I have never admin'd a counter strike server before. I am learning though. (I dont have the bandwidth or the processing power to run a CS server as my server has Dually P3 700's with RAID). Also, the clan server is Linux (Redhat), so I am less sure about the configuration. (Maybe they need to upgrade to SUSE?)
The uptime on the webserver is uncommon for me, since one of my other servers has (as of right now) an uptime of 6 days.
Edit: 22 minutes ago I hit 100 days. Wohoo!

Heh, Congrat's Jarrod. You don't need to go to DOS prompt to show uptime, could just go to System Information in the System Tool's Folder.

That was the output of the tool I mentioned above. I didnt see the uptime on my 2k machine in the System Information. Where is it?

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tool's>System Information. Right when you get there, read the info and inside it has the uptime of the system.
