Special Folder Keys
OS Required : Win9x or WinXP
Renaming does the Trick ...
If a folder is renamed in a particular fasion, they can be converted into Standard Windows Utility links.
For example, if u wanted to have a Recycle bin inside any of ur folders, what u need to do is just create a folder at the required location and rename it as Recycle Bin.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} ... There u have ur recylce bin
Here are some Special Folder Keys, which u may copy paste...
Network Neighborhood.{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}
Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
Printers.{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}
Inbox (msexchange).{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
Internet Mail.{89292102-4755-11cf-9DC2-00AA006C2B84}
Internet News.{89292103-4755-11cf-9DC2-00AA006C2B84}
Recycle Bin.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
Internet Cache Folder.{7BD29E00-76C1-11CF-9DD0-00A0C9034933}
Briefcase.{85BBD920-42A0-1069-A2E4-08002B30309D}
Dialup Networking.{a4d92740-67cd-11cf-96f2-00aa00a11dd9}
Internet Neighborhood {DB2112AD-0000-0000-0002-000004281965}
Internet Explorer.{FBF23B42-E3F0-101B-8488-00AA003E56F8}
Url History.{FF393560-C2A7-11CF-BFF4-444553540000}
My Computer.{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
Note :
*Any folder name can be used with the above mentioned extention.
*Be careful not to have blank spaces after the filename ... (While u copy-paste, there are chances that a blank space comes at the end)
Create a folder and rename them to any of the above and feel the difference!
This technique can be used for hiding Files Inside Folders - HOW ??
Suppose You have a folder name "Brat", which contains important files.
If u want to make it virtually hidden, rename it as Brat.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} ... Now It turns into a Control Panel link. If u click on the Control Panel Link, it opens the Control Panel Window, thus hiding the contents of ur Brat folder.
In order to show it contents, u need to got to dos and rename the directory Brat.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} to Brat ... U can very well write a batch file for the renaming it back and forth...
Yeah! This Technique is not at all advisible for hiding very important documents... It hides information from a "I'm too new to Windows" ppl.
!! Thats all !!

XNikon,
Great Stuff! Thanks for posting the tips.
I only had one problem that almost really got me in trouble with my laptop. I tried putting:
Recycle Bin.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} on my wife's forehead so I could hide her. It didn't work quick enough. She kicked my arse and then she left. j/k
cheers
Connection refused, try again later.
