Last time I checked, Core Impact was a pentest tool. Hence, it has to be close to reality as possible to mimic attacks. Visit their site to get more detail.
As for spy recorder, some companies want to know what their employees are telling others (information leakage/corporate espionage issues?).

I do see your point,... just think the wording of thier catch phrase ads could be better, as it tends to give (at least me) the wrong impression of the services/products they are offering.
but thats just my opinion...and you know what they say about those.
