    AOL Worker Sells 92 Million Names

    An America Online software engineer stole a list of 92 million customer screen names that was eventually used to send massive amounts of e-mail spam, federal prosecutors said Wednesday...
    Smathers, working at AOL offices in Dulles, Virginia, stole the list and sold it to a Las Vegas man, Sean Dunaway, who used it to promote an Internet gambling operation and sold it to spammers, a criminal complaint said...
    Lawyers for the men were not immediately available to comment, but prosecutors in New York said both were to appear in federal courts near their homes Wednesday -- Smathers in Virginia and Dunaway in Las Vegas. Each man could face up to five years in prison and at least $250,000 in fines if convicted...

    LOL, two things are humorous about this clown. The first is that he lives in my town. The second is the amount of nasty grams that people are leaving in his forum.

    I recommend reading the post that his co-workers added. It is quite entertaining.

    On a serious note, the damage these clowns have done cannot be undone. The list is already out there and probably has been resold a number of times already. The true proof that this dunce is not a good criminal is the amount of money he sold the list for. Working for the largest ISP on the planet, one would think he would have a better sense for the sleezy SPAM market. That list should have easily fetched seven figures.

    What a sleezebag. Those type of people make me want to hurl...
    Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.
