I was reading slashdot a week or so ago and came across a tidbit on Ubuntu Linux. It's a debian distro with an installer that any less-than-average individual could handle. I was wondering what you alls opinion on it is?

From what I infer, this would be an awesome introduction distro for those new to linux. It would offer almost the perfect buffer between migrating OS'es. What do you all think?
