    Free BSD 5.3

    It's been released finally after a long wait. I know this is older news BUT IT'S MY ****ING BIRTHDAY NOW SO I CAN POST IT IF I WANT BITCHESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

    Actually I just didn't see it posted anywhere else and I was downloading it and decided to show up a neat screen shot of how I downloaded it..... Shut up I'm high from my pain meds, just let me have my moment OK?

    well it was released on oct 31 ,and i ve downloaded it and i am havin a hell of a time installiing it
    no matter what i do she won't install, ive tries everything in my will and might nothing will work ( although i am still waiting for some one in freebsd site to reply my query )iam so sorry gore that i cannot try what you said as i don't have a extra m/c lying around

    Why would I put a thread about an Operating System in GCC instead of the OPERATING SYSTEM forum?

    Great! now why cant i get 5.2 to look like that. probably because X says i have no screens

    know of any good X windows for freebsd installation tutorials?

    I've been running 5.3-stable now for some time.. Works great, looks great, runs like a dream.
    Gnome 2.8 is compiling as we speak to make my upgrade complete.

    Umm that screenshot is of a SUSE install while DLing BSD [gore's leetness defined by his use of wget and the very apealling DL speeds ].

    But sure you could get your distro to look good... just gotta try harder
