RSS Coding
I'm in the midst of designing my new website, GeekRealms.com (Yes, shameless plug, in the guise of asking for help..which I need.) I'm developing it to be a good community site, and a great launching point for people to go to. One of my goals is to set it up so that people will want it to be their home page, because it either relates to the other sites they go to, or has something to do with it.
Part of my developing this is using RSS Feeds so that people can see when some sites were updated last, especially news, forums, and blog sites. (Slashdot, for instance.)
My trouble is with all of the different formats of RSS Feeds, I'm not sure the best way to gather all of the information that I'm looking for. I want a good guide to finding a list of the differences between the protocols, which are most common, and how to use them each.
If any of you can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!
