    master/slave configuration???/

    hi there,
    what is the best set up of master /
    slave:
    1st:
    hdd
    cdrw
    dvdrom
    and
    2nd:
    hdd
    hdd
    cdrw
    dvdrom

    master / slave setup

    Most hardware manufacturers suggest to optimize compatibility and performance by:
    connecting the hdd to the primary IDE connector (IDE1) and the CD-rom to the secondary IDE connector, also enable DMA mode.

    SO, connect the hdd to the primary IDE as master, a CDRW to the secondary as master, the CD or DVD-rom as secondary, slave.
