    Good point HTRegz.

I like to use google for researching the processes, it usually finds the processes on liutilities.com or so.... Google roxx!

hey, thanks for the info. the new HijackThis that I downloaded doesn't work with the computer. Windows gives it an error message and closes it.

    *EDIT*

I found the reason for it

NOTE: Systems infected with the 'Ms4Hd' rootkit parasite will experience crashes in HijackThis 1.99.x since this parasite deliberately crashes programs that try to detect it. For such cases, a copy of HijackThis 1.98.2 will always be available

so now theres a rootkit on this comp too. I'm gonna scan with 1.98.2 and post.
    sorry

I have the google toolbar but that isn't showing up on IE anymore for some reason. I'm ready to get rid of everything remotely suspicious so I'm willing to part with it.
    sorry

Ok, based on my limited experience with hijack this, I'd say the first thing that has to go is the websearch.com entries. And the http://www.mt-download.com/MediaTicketsInstaller.cab doesn't look good but research that just in case. If it's bad and your sure its safe to delete then delete it.

I'd like to warn you though that I am in no way a hijack this expert and if you delete one thing that you shouldn't it could render your computer useless beyond repair. So I would wait for people like meeeee to give you advice.

Also, I to suggest you get rid of one AV, I suggest uninstalling symantec, just because I have had bad experiences in the past with it and have switched to Avast! and have been happy ever since.

    Hoped I helped a little...

Allright, got alot of stuff cleared up. Decided to go into safe mode and delete the more difficult files through command prompt. after I cleared some of it up I was able to use the new HijackThis, and then Spybot was finally able to get the rest. so heres the new log:

about that google toolbar... It hasn't been working and i tried re installing it but it still won't work. I figure its because I still have some of the hijacker toolbar in the system. Any idea how to fix that?
    sorry

Boot into Safe Mode and then kill the following lines in Hijack This (more instructions at the bottom):

    Then, delete the following folders:
    C:\Program Files\Toolbar
C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools (and any folders with a variation of the WinTools name)

    Delete these files:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\qqrrv.dll (I'm 99.9% sure this is a virus, worm, or trojan, you may want to scan it first. When a file doesn't show ANY results on a Google search, I get REALLY suspicious.)
    C:\Program Files\IEMenuExtension\tbextn.dll

That should get you pretty well cleaned up. I've seen IBIS before (the WinTools and Toolbar folders) and they can be a real pain to get rid of unless you do it in safe mode.

Then go ahead and run your antivirus and spyware programs while in safe mode to get any other little boogers. You might also want to download a trial of TDS-3 from www.diamondcs.com.au and update it to scan your computer as well. It's pretty good at getting rid of Trojans. If you've got that much spyware, you've probably got all sorts of nasties.

Also ClamWin (www.clamwin.com) is a free antivirus and might be good to run just to doublecheck your other antivirus. I have it loaded along with Symantec on my comp, and they seem to play nice with each other. You can have more than one antivirus program on a system, just as long as you don't have more than one of them trying to do Real-Time protection. Then they start trying to beat each other up.

I hope this helps. Post your new HJT log once you do the cleanup.

This is your DNS server. Leave it alone!!

    Also, fix these with HJT:
