Another thing I found odd (or, I must just be completely out of touch) was that the Secret Service was shutting down sites containing her information.

Here's a CNN article mentioning the Secret Service.

Wouldn't this be the FBI's juridiction? That is, unless she had the number for someone a bit more important than Eminem.

Wouldn't surprise me...she's a Marylin Monroe wannabe...without the B acting career...she's probably sleeping with Ted Kennedy.

Jacobsen was quietly charged with the intrusions last October,
I think this is the crux of it.
The authorities never release details like this, until / unless its too late.

If this has hit the fan, then what are they sitting on, that they hope will just blow away.
so now I'm in my SIXTIES FFS
WTAF, how did that happen, so no more alterations to the sig, it will remain as is now

She has Secret Service service? Yeah, she must be boning somebody important. Who gives a ****. All I am worried about is just how safe the phones are.

    Hi foxyloxley,

I think it's just a question of being attacked from all sides...first they were attacked over the WMD issue...then, as I posted, the Homeland Security got a failing grade...now their systems have been compromised...they're starting to look a little foolish and I think it's causing a considerable amount of embarrassment for the people in charge and the **** is starting to hit the fan and there's probably more than one person worried about their employment status.

And...like you implied...there's worse they don't want to tell us...so they let a little leak so that nobody goes looking deeper.

    Probably the smell.

As for Cell network security, a friend a few years back showed me how to hack voice mail. It involved phoning a phone that was switched off and entering a phones default security code. As long as you new the phone maker and your target had voice mail, the chances of success were 100%...............I would like to think we are all a bit more wise these days.

The whole "hack" spin annoys me. If this is the work of an insider, how is this a "hack"? Sounds more like theft with a spit shine for instant media hype if you ask me.

If I steal SS#s of all the employees at my facility, does this make me a "hacker"? No. It makes me a theif just as this clown is.

    Bleh.

Hoss: Funny.... I was going to ask "So which day did she "lose" her cellphone for an hour or two or not even know it was "missing".... But then I thought.... "Why do I give a rats ass about Paris Hilton".... So I didn't respond....

Methinks, neither of us should be in this thread.....
