controling computer use for children

hello i have heard of software where you can control how long children online ,does anyone know where i can start , i need info asap cause my lil bro and sis are online too long ,all i know is each user has a password and depending on the account type if say for instance you set the time limit to 1 hr at the end of that one hr the computer shuts down , if anyon can steer me in the right direction plzz. btw the computer its gonna be used on has win xp home sp2

The obvious method is to actively watch the kids when they're online. Most software out there like NetNanny, etc, monitor content, not activity time AFAIK. Some isp's with software, like AoHell, offer 'parental control' timers which automatically disconnect the isp when their time is ended.

A bit of googling revealed the following links for you:

which takes you to a site selling ENUFF software - a timer which is exactly what you're looking for. It offers a free trial time on the software, but wants $34.95 after the 30 day free period is up.

thank you acoually found the one i was thinking of ,net nanny 5 ,altough must have read the page wrong first time around cause it blocks internet not shut the computer down ty again
