DSL Connection Blocking Alarm System
I just read something very interesting in French. The news reports that thousands of peoples in Québec paid for an alarm system that in the fact not working because the DSL connection is messing the signal up.
The problem is known and can be fixed for a filter that cost 200$.

Yeah I have actually come across that before. It's just another reason why cable is awsome.

That is interesting Simon,
Years ago we used to have alarm systems that used private telephone lines (not the hard wired sort) and criminals would get hold of the private number, call it and jam/de-activate the alarm so they could burgle the place.
30 years later, new technology but with a very similar, albeit accidental, problem?
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Cheers
