The Contingency: Technical Release Phile 1

well... here it is. This is my new newsletter about security, hacking, cracking, defenses, online rights, anonymity, and everything else security related. This is our first technical release phile. Our second is allready in the works and we would like comments/ applications to be part of the contingency/articles/etc. You can submit your tutorials posted on anti-online if you wish.
edit: used underscores in filename instead of spaces /re-uploaded fixed version (caused issues in firefox)

Look, were just trying to keep information open and stuff. I would appreciate you mailing your comments to thebracket@gmail.com. Have you actually read any of the articles? They are actually pretty informative. The next issue is in the works and we have some UMPD files to release on it. We have recieved a few article submissions allready. Is it mainly the "hacker" thing that didn't appeal to you? Would you not believe an article or a magazine simply because Kevin Mitnick wrote an article? Is it really that much of a turn-off?

The formatting was so so. I'd recommend that whoever put the registry thing together go learn about COM. Because it would appear they don't know wtf they are looking at or doing.

Most of that list is just a dump of COM components registered on the computer...even ADO. I'd recommend "Inside COM" or http://msdn.microsoft.com.

If you want to dump out entries for 'scary' components, tell me about spyware, trojans, etc....or all the places that actually store something sensitive like tracking data or credit card info. Not that I have ado recordset objects available to me via COM.

No, I disbelieve any site who has someone who advertises for them (showing affiliation) who can't spell ALREADY. Go take English Grammar and Composition, then get back to us. See also why I negged your thread.

god forbid I didn't type well. I have to distribute this file and I'm in a big rush. Why are you hammering me on these details? Thats like beating up on a sheep who has a hair that isn't curly enough. What concerns me is the content of the file. First off, you are all "security professionals". Now "security professionals" read documents on security like zardoz, white papers, etc. These are the same things as hacking "philes" excpt they don't support "hacking" or mention it in a positive manner.

People are going to pick at you for absolutely everything. I myself don't care about your grammar or punctuation, just the actual technical content.

If the best people can come up with is your spelling is poor (I read the doc...it's readable at the very least) perhaps they need to spend a little more time and actually come up with a good gripe.

I'd also suggest that you maybe put a link where the users can find more content related to your news blurbs. References are a good thing.
