comcast
Hello,
I have some relatives who use comcast for their email. However they do not like it very much because it gets a lot of spam. I don't really know how to do much with it, so any advice would be helpful.
Thanks,
Major Tierce

Tell them to stop giving out their email address to everyone
Comcast doesn't sell email addresses - if you get "spam", it's because you authorized it.
And no, I don't work for Comcast

Tell them to stop giving out their email address to everyone
and then dont give out your email to any online crap. simple.
or...tell them to do what I do...make no transactions whatsoever on the net...if you can't buy it in the store you don't need it.

Here are two reveiws for products. One is freeware/shareware, the other is only pay-fer.

Its almost impossible to use an email without getting spam. If it is published anywhere on the web it seems to eventually get picked up. Most of it isn't authorized.
/edit : The pay-fer looks kind of cool. It uses user sumbissions to of actual emails to set its parameters, and so no legit messages get blocked.

well those programs are for outlook, however I found on that site (somewhere I can't find them now) tools that will transfer your mail from yahoo or hotmail, etc, to outlook, and then from there you could use those tools...
