Adobe warns of Reader, Acrobat bug that can crash PC's

A security flaw in Adobe Systems' popular Acrobat and Reader applications could be used to shut down or hijack vulnerable PCs.

By crafting a malicious PDF file, a remote attacker could cause the applications to crash or possibly commandeer the target computer, Adobe said in a security advisory published on Tuesday. The San Jose, Calif.-based software maker has updates available to fix the problem.

Adobe itself discovered the error, according to the advisory.
imagine that! a bug found and announced by the manufactuer when most seem to be discovered by third parties these days...good show adobe!

PS if they're lying i take it back!

    Hi Tedob1,

I agree....most impressive...not only do they claim to have discovered the flaw but...they also didn't try to cover it up and reported it themselves.

P.S. if they're lying I take it back too

    Eg
