Home network issues
Hi all,
I've just bought a Netgear wireless router, and a USB wireless adaptor for the second PC in the house.
I'm not new to computers but I am new to networking. Total noob.
I've managed to get the internet part configured (obviously, 'cause you're reading this, aren't you?), but what I am having trouble with is how to set up to share files between the 2 PC's.
My main machine is wired via CAT5E cable to the router, and the second PC (which is my son's machine, but which my wife also uses for her uni assignments when I'm hogging this machine) uses the wireless adaptor.
My main machine is running XP Pro+SP2, the other box is running Win98SE.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to set up a shared folder on both machines so that files could be pushed or pulled from either side.
Any suggestions on how I go about achieving that, please?
Thanks heaps for your help (in advance).
Cheers,
Bruce.

Hi there, the similist way I could suggest is to go here
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;304040
and just work through the instructions. - Then if you have any issues post back for further help.

Sorry it took a couple of days, but, I promised I'd let you know.
That link helped. Thanks heaps.
It's all good... both PC's can see the other, and files can be pushed or pulled in either direction!
Schweeeeeet!
Cheers,
Bruce.
