This may be obvious to some, however :
I have been trying to get through for the last day or so and finally figured out a way to do it -- keep trying, but everytime you manage to connect to the server and make a step, save the url and load to that next time you try. Going step by step like this took me about twenty minutes. Once in, use bittorrent. I am now downloading at 250 - 300 k with 50 seeds. Done in about 45 min total. Nice.

Don't ASK
I got through, got to the point of clicking to start the D/L from there server
then MY PC decided it wasn't going to allow until I clicked on 'allow'
but, TOO LATE, the D/L is now bolloxxxed
into IE > tools > Security > Internet > custom level, and enabled the automatic prompting for active X controls. [reading the help files helped ]
back to the site, 300+ ahead of me AGAIN, started it off
and it's just tipped me out AGAIN for the same reason
maybe it's telling me that Linspire was never going to be mine
One last go tomorrow [today now, actually]
it had better be GOOD ................

Azureus got the linspire down in a couple of hours..
but bitcomet also has a good reputation.. hey hesperus, is it Java based? and how hungry is it on resources? azureus can be a bit of a dog at times..for me that is..

No, C++. Good on resources, but I am usually online when it is working -- it slows that down, of course. I haven't tried Azureus.
