Need a new car - advice?
Well, I totaled my car. I'm alright, but apparently I did a number on the car (a five-digit number or something).
I'm looking at cars that have, of course, good gas mileage (>=24 city, >=30 highway) and that will cost me about US$350 a month to pay off. (over 60 months, about $22k I think).
Decent choices so far include the Toyota Yaris, Scion Tc (the car I totaled), Mazda3...
Ideally, the stereo system would be double-sized, not a teeny one, because I have the AVIC D-2, a pioneer GPS/MP3 player, which is dual-sized and in-dash.
If not, well, some Mazda do have a navigation system as an option, and other cars do as well.
What car would you recommend?
Oh -- I live in the northeastern part of the US, by NYC, in case that matters.

Yeah, I've been looking at these cars too.
My problem : I'm young and I want a car with a powerful or otherwise unique body style. I get annoyed at a lot of the formless crap that's out there, although for some reason I really liked the Scion Tc..

I guess it depends on how long you want to keep the car and what kind of mileage you will be putting on the vehicle....
Those new honda civics are pretty nice...

I had a honda...300,000 kms ....the engine was running great...just the body rusted out
What we want and what is practical...are two different thing unfortunatly...
I want this.....

I want an Audi, but I can't afford it.
So far it looks like Mazda may win with a Mazda3 due to the navigation system that I can install in there and the financing time (up to 72 months)..
