Port 8334 getting Blocked by ISA

    Hi gals/ Guys

My ISA server 2004 is blocking any outbound connection to HTTPS port 8334. Althoug I have described the rule to allow internal users to access this port..... Still when i try to access websites i recevied error message: -

    Technical Information (for Support personnel)
Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The specified Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) port is not allowed. ISA Server is not configured to allow SSL requests from this port. Most Web browsers use port 443 for SSL requests. (12204)
    IP Address: 192.168.0.1
    Date: 4/21/2006 12:14:02 PM

I am attaching the screenshot of the ISA policies just for the refrence.....

ISA server by default uses ports 443 and 563(?).
You don't have ISA storage (Active Directory) setup to use a non-standard port.

You will also need to create a small VB Script to add your desired ports to the default ISA storage.

Here is a link I use to get the job done. Nonstandard SSL port on ISA2004

    Silly Question:

Why are you _specifying_ SSL on a non standard port to the firewall. Why don't you just tell it that you are allowing a simple TCP/IP connection through that port?

    Tiger

I had to do this at one site for Plesk

which allowed the user to admin thier mail setup at the ISP.
