    OH THE IRONY - I am about to ask if the last post was aware this was a VERY old thread, and MY reply is also over two years late so is that a double whammy ? and yes, HIPAA is both important and intrusive - next :P
    so now I'm in my SIXTIES FFS
    WTAF, how did that happen, so no more alterations to the sig, it will remain as is now

    I note that this thread is old, however, for compliance with HIPAA I would use the administrative HIPAA guidelines that were updated in 2013. These guidelines give specific security standards which the federal government expects a healthcare company to meet and be measured against. Standards are broken down by "required" and "addressable". Required standards must be implemented on a priority basis, addressable standards can be implemented after the fact.
