    As for my favourite hockey movie it would have to be ... Miracle
    I watched that entire series as a little kid. When I saw the movie... the entire series,talks at school, TV commentary and the fun and the pure SHOCK and happiness flooded me again. *sniffle* I just stared at the TV screen in pure ecstasy when the buzzer went off. 1980, **** yeah. That's it I'm going out to buy an American Flag!

    Slapstick... best hockey comedy. They should remake that. remember even not that long ago when the NHL and IHL didn't wear helmets. LOL

    Since the AVS were out, I didn't know the Oilers are in their. OK... GO CANADA!

    Gotta admit I liked Gainey and Cournoyer and Robinson, but I loathed Dryden and then they make him President of Maple Leafs gaaack....now we are cursed with John Ferguson's ilk,(John jr current GM)

    Geez, that bar must have been on the outskirts (Orillia maybe), can't have been close to old Maple Leaf Gardens, say it aint so....

    I guess it was my catholic upbringing is where I got all that guilt laying from

    .....although I lost my religon many moons ago........

    As for that bar...Uptown TO...Yonge and Eglinton area....sorry...not as far as Orilla

    The NHL players had to stop coming when a Vancouver Canuck...got slashed in the face with a broken glass.....

    No, let me explain. Miracle is about the kick aZZ 1980 Olympics where in the last match (last of the series) the USA as underdogs beat the Soviet Union for the gold. It about the events leading up to the game the players and the coach.

    I'm so not a hockey fan, but Miracle was an awesome movie. I love that kind of feel-good happy day crap though.

    As for Ice Hockey................... the ultimate film has to be "Slapshot" I could watch that every day and not get bored!

    The look on Paul Newman's face when they "put on the foil" is priceless.
