vendor for what? I have several vendors that I use on a regular basis, but they are all for different things.

CDW - hardware, just about anything really
Quest Systems - big iron stuff, Cisco, Fortigate, SSIM, monitoring stuff
    S3 - SSIM, professional services
Q1 Labs - SIM, monitoring software

    Some others:

    Dell - laptops/desktops
    Sun - servers/workstations
    IBM - servers/iSeries stuff

Sometimes it pays to go direct with manufacturers vs going through a vendor... depends on your size and requirements really.

I also deal with a bunch of other vendors that are much more specific in what they provide.

Well for laptops we went direct with Dell. We shopped it around a bit, and CDW came close with IBM/Lenovo but we finally went with Dell for our laptops.

For our IBM Thinkpads we used NexInnovations unfortunately they also provided us our Compaq desktops.....(full of 3rd party crap I might add) but it's a National contract so were stuck with them...
