Side note--- do you know that the FF2.0 spell checker tried to change fiance to finance!!
I hope you enjoyed your Cava. Champagne can only come from the Champagne region of France.

Prenups sound so cold blooded ... and I don't think they're that necessary anyway. No court would allow one partner to be very badly off in the event of a split if one was earning shedloads of money and the other was dependent on it at the time of the split, or if there were children involved - prenup or no prenup.
The idea of marriage is that you're making a commitment "till death do us part". OK it may not work out that way, but by talking about prenups even before you get married you're more or less saying you're open to the idea that you might want to walk out of it at any time. In my opinion you might as well just live together and make your cold blooded arrangements. Marriage is supposed to be different, it's saying "I don't want an easy arrangement that I can walk away from, I'm committing myself to spending the rest of my life with you".

Congrats HT........it's a steeeeeeep learning curve for which there are never any really good answers, just learn the art of nodding, as for a "prenup" the minute you mention that, alarm bells will ring, it's a sure sign of not enough "trust" or very little and you certainly don't want to get off on the wrong foot...Those that insist on a prenup as has been mentioned are either very rich to begin with or are very familiar with "infidelity", who were you married too last year Elizabeth?

Umm, HT, we *still* haven't seen a picture of the happy couple yet.
If you're not careful, I'll have to mail the prenup papers to your home.

I had to google 'jfgi' to see what it meant. The irony is overwhelming.

While we were looking today I pointed out another ring.. it was white gold with approx a 2ct pink stone (stone type unknown)... She didn't like it (either dark blue or dark purple or diamond)... We looked at the diamonds and they were either too big or too small but then we found a white gold ring with a 0.25ct diamond... We looked closely and she liked it... then we found out it was 45% off (always a big bonus)... So we jumped at the chance and bought it...
So yay!
Peace,
HT
Well, how nice for you...
