Messenger Development.
HI,
I want to create a messenger like Yahoo Messenger for my country. Like a local messenger. Anyone tell me how much will it cost in developing it and hosting on a server. I heard that I need atleast $100/month for a dedicated server. Please tell me how much do I require for doing it.
Currently working on sdome link directories and a brand new programming site. :P will post them soon.

Have a look at Jabber, it's an open source IM system and you will not have to write a single bit of code. You will of course have to host your own server, but that's about it. http://www.jabber.org/about/overview.shtml
