    intel pro/wireless 2200BG promiscuous mode slack 11

    hi,
    i have an intel pro/wireless 2200BG card that uses the ipw2200 driver.
    im trying to sniff in promiscuous mode but it fails, the version of the ipw2200 driver is git-1.1.1 along with it corresponding firmware v3.0. did anyone managed to get it to sniff in promisc. by some way?
    i use the kernel 2.6.17.13 module that comes with slackware, maybe i should upgrade it or something?
    cuz it doesnt make sense having a laptop and unable to wardrive
