Any1 watched this
Hi everyone
Just watched a documentary/movie with the girlfriend.
Name was: Road to Guantanamo
Was wondering if this movie was banned in the USA and/or UK. Just wondering. It was a prison camp and depicts the Americans abusing innocent pakistanis' whom get mistaken for terrorists.
I read a news article abou this particular war camp.
Sorry if there was a post about this before but South Africa is abit delayed with the movies.
Thanks.

Does the name "Robert Mugabwe" mean anything to you?
I guess you don't have to go to Cuba for a holiday camp
Yes, if you want it put bluntly, there are a lot of unconvicted "war criminals" around............. the USA, most certainly Israel........... and lots of others.

Im sure its a easy mistake when these guys are in a crowd screaming Anti-Semitism and Anti-Americanism. Just think, years ago... people got alot of heat (if not quietly snuffed out someplace) for attending labor rallies.
If you claimed to be a communist even if you've never hurt another human being, you'd still be an enemy to the united states and much of the world. Who's to say that these people... if not Muslims in general can't have equal opportunity in this regard?

Are you kidding? I'd be willing to guess that it was made here.
People from totalitarian countries like your close northern neighbor
can be excused when they make the honest mistake of thinking that
movies routinely get "banned" in the US, but you should know better.
Even kiddie porn doesn't get banned, unless the state can prove that
actual kiddies were tortured in the making of the film.
We are awash in anti-american propaganda. It sells lots of popcorn.
People just ignore it because it is usually just backgroung noise.
Try publishing something controversial in your country, you may get
an education in civics.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.

Nihil: in south africa here, we say that you should rob mugabwe before he robs you. Yes he is a huge problem this side. The influx of refugees/illegals from Zim became a problem long time ago. Our president just announced that he cannot and will not stop them from comming over.
Keep the thoughts comming from the movie, interesting to hear what everyone else thinks.
Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, that's how it was, until the leaders of my country decided to become "politically correct"
Also, the lads used it to wind up Indian teams we played against The Brit teams were the best............. I had to drink beer for my entire side
Strange how racial prejudice and sport don't seem to get along?

Funny you mention that one. I'd just downloaded it in the last week
or two. Unfortunately it was in French with no subtitles. I doubt it's
banned in the US. Such shows are of dubious popularity though. Like
Adam Curtis' BBC special, The Power Of Nightmares. That's an
outstanding program that will probably never be shown because of the
support-our-troops political correctness. Yanks of all persuasions, liberal
and conservative, are altogether irrational about the war on terrorism.
