    I also don't believe that.. Whitedust was one of the biggest jokes and it's great to see they're gone..

    I am interested in SP1 though (although I don't know that I'll play with the Beta)... Hyperterm won't be back due to licensing issues and telnet's there if you install it I'm becoming a big fan of serial connections in putty 0.60

    LMAO, me too....I wonder if ol' Billy G bought shares in Putty before making the decision to not have Telnet installed by default AND to remove Hyperterminal...the sly old fox...or did someone at Cisco just piss him off one day...

    You can use the XP version of hyperterminal with Vista AFAIK?

    It was most likely a humour site... but you never know these days... some people are actually like that.

    Vista SP1 beta is being released ..... the actual service pack isn't due out until some time in 2008.

    Telnet client or server? telnet clients still there its just not enabled

    vista rc2
    Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > Telnet Client

    wow, they took out hyper terminal? bogus.
    meh. -ech0.
