LoL, yeah good point. I suppose the agency will get a kick back for placing me so they will do what they can...

If writing a resume and dealing with those people is what you wanted you could have gotten that kind of help from a BOFH episode:
http://bofh.ntk.net/Bastard_1996-2a.html
The boss is being a little reticent about my rate so I decide to twist the knife a bit by calling up some contracting agencies. My only worry being that if I called up a good agency, I'd probably get a job - which rather defeats the purpose of the exercise. My purpose is to make the boss wince every time there's a contracting rate review. And to rake in more dosh of course.
Bearing in mind my job prospects, I put some feelers out with a couple of the large but mostly dodgy agencies. The sort of agency that will 'smooth out the wrinkles' in your CV before faxing them on to a prospective employer.
Wrinkles like, 'I done DOS once,' and 'I know how to turn my screen on,' become 'Wrote DOS from scratch,' and 'Extensive Hardware Support Background'.

gore: that's what I'm talking about. In my world, I feel sorry for IT workers being stuck 3 years or 20 years on a job and their resume' is less than a 1 pager. talk to them alone and they are miserable. They attempt to upgrade their skills afterhours but no time to interview during the day. But the advantage person can carry what he learned through his journey to another company....this is called experience. Your cert or college is just like printed paper of a dollar bill....sort of worthless.

Same employment social engineering can be used to trick anyone. We are still talking about the same thing.
This was posted today as an internet vulnerability.

"A relatively simple ruse persuaded dozens of prominent security analysts to connect on their social networking Web pages with people who weren't friends at all. They were fake profiles, purportedly of other well-known security pros. The scam was designed to expose the trust that even some of the most skeptical Internet users display on some of the most insecure sites on the Web"

I Agree with Ouroboros
Awesome answer! I am going to start on a time track sheet myself. I am also a geek with multiple roles at the office I work at.
Here are a few of my different titles: Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Computer Lab Instructor, Staff and Client Tech Support Specialist, Database Designer, Database Administrator, Data Entry Clerk, Website Designer, Website Administrator, Office Manager, Office Supply Procurement Officer, Job Developer, Assistant Job Counselor, Janitor....
As you can see, I think I could really benefit from time scheduling...

Oh God... a journal? The agency will laugh at you. For approved purchase orders the client can dismiss you for farting. At will or tell you to find other employment. HP wanted me to do 6 different jobs under a simple IT title. Imagine having a quota to upgrade 20 machines, teach the user on the configuration and some intern bltch wants you to stop what you doing to move crates of unpacked computers for inventory. Told them thanks for the HP title and went working for the competitor which was EDS.

Hi Cider,
Please read my response to your other thread. You may not be in such a bad position, as I feel that your colleague has never been trained with the software (CRM) and is in the same boat as you.
You are the techie so that is where the buck stops.............. trust me mate, I have been there
Try talking with the lady......... if you both go to the boss and say that you need to work together to set the thing up properly and get her using it, then you might get a result.
Also, try and have a chat with the suppliers of the software............ go to technical support, you might get a sympathetic ear? After all, if it were not for you, they are "next in the barrel"

His response was that I must manage time better.
Translation "Stop whining, you F***ing slacker"
You can not win if the boss has already prejudged
you as a loser. Maybe it was your haircut, your accent
or skin color... I agree with those who say start looking
for another job.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.
