Show common tasks in folders screws XP ?
Hi there mina ^^
Long time, a long time no see.
Well, after some downfalls and come backs, i'll post here for help again.
I recently un-installed Vista temporarily on my machine,
Asus M2N SLI-Deluxe
AMD Athlon X2 4400+
Nvidia 8500GT
3Gb Ram DDR2
a simple machine, nothing fancy but enough for the use i give it.
Well, with vista 64bits ultimate SP1, it as a really good performance..."vista blábláblá" the thing is, it performs well..
I installed XP on it again (SP2) and notice something really odd....when i have Show Common Tasks in Folders activated, on some folders...it takes forever to access them...specially on another drive.
If i disable it, it loads normaly..
Can anyone help me out why this happens? I honestly have no clue what so ever.
Thank you very much for your kind patience ^^
Best regards,
Me

What is the folder set for? Thumbnails view sometimes takes forever and a day to load all the previews.
Also, we turn Indexing off to help a little speed boost.
This might not be pertinent, but I know that a dead shortcut in a folder will slow down load times to a crawl, especially on the desktop.
