    Mint on Laptop (WiFi)

Has anyone used Mint on a laptop and how well does it work with the built-in WiFi drivers? I have been using Mint on my desktop for almost a year now and ready to go mobile with it.

    Greetings.

Why not try the liveCD version, and see if that detects everything and then install it.? What model laptop will you be installing it on?

also if you do decide to install it, could you maybe do a write up about it? As i'm sure there would be a few members here who would be interested in the end result...

I didn't think about the LiveCD, I will try that now. Do you have a template I can use for a write up?

    Greetings.

I always try a new OS out with there liveCD, that way i don't have to install and realise that i either don't like it, or it's going to be a hassle to get it up and running.

I find if the liveCD boots up and majority of the things i need to use are detected off the bat then i will consider doing a full install..

And the template well maybe do it up like this.

Objectives <- Maybe why you have chosen it, what you plan on running on the laptop etc

Installing Mint Linux <- was it easy to install? how did you setup the partitions, did you dual boot it? etc

An actual mint install <- The finished product how does it look? how does it run? were things detected? etc

About Mint Linux <- what is mint linux? give a brief description

LiveCD was not boot and go, so I may have to set aside some time for the upgrade.

found most of the hardware, just not wireless.
