    Finally! Got it with NOD32, downloaded the 30d trial and the virus was recognized as Win32/Mebroot trojan.
    Analog = Classical
    Digital = Techno

    system restore ......... turn it off
    get system clean, and then pop it back on
    lots of the bad stuff is capable of doing things that were outside the imagination of Hollywood a few short years back
    but now, it is fairly safe to assume that if you do get bit, it's gonna hurt

    Nihil has a point re:- CCleaner, and SpyBot in safe mode, and in that order too, as it is best to drop the sludge out of the PC before trying to clean it up a little

    I also like Malwarebytes
    not forgetting CWShredder, what the hell, run it anyway, when you are in a world of hurt, it doesn't really matter what you do to sort it, just get it sorted :P
