    Cloud Computing Philosophy?

A somewhat philosophical view of "the cloud"

    cloud isnt for me

ive always been one to always do things myself i don't like the idea of someone else having access to my data i rather spend a few extra bucks for hard drives and take responsibility for my own data ,it opens up a host of problems , ie trusting a company to store your data and they sell off some of your data to telemarketers , the end point is take responsibility for what is yours and don't depend on anyone else to do it for you because all it does is open you up to being vulnerable

You can have a PRIVATE cloud and not all data is confidential. Take a case for an external email gateway as an example. It makes good security and operational sense, for me at least, to use something like MX Logic (now unfortunately known as McAfee saas) to manage filtering and offload expensive bandwidth and server CPU.
