    Panda Security Website Defaced

    Just saw this on Slashdot. Don't we have a resident Panda Security Employee running around here somewhere?

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/03...acked_by_anon/

    From the article:

    In a predictable backlash against the sweep that has netted suspected LulzSec members in America and Europe, Anonymous has defaced some web pages of the security firm Panda Security.

    ~~~
    More seriously, the defaced page – still available at the time of writing – also shows email addresses and passwords apparently obtained in the attack.
    Panda's statement:
    Update: Panda Security released a statement on its Facebook page about the hack on Wednesday:
    On March 6th the hacking group LulzSec, part of Anonymous, obtained access to a Panda Security webserver hosted outside of the Panda Security internal network... The attack did not breach Panda Security’s internal network and neither source code, update servers nor customer data was accessed. We continue investigating the cause of the intrusion and will provide more details as soon as they become available.
    Was waiting for this ...
    Ok so an external web server was nuked around 2 AM (gmt+1) by antisec in response to the arrests and our comments made on a blog ...
    I am abit sad that we were hit this easily but management on our side has assured us there was no internal breach. I will see what I can dig up and ill post more info here when I have it (everyone is pretty tight lipped at the moment).
    Our sub domains (press.pandasecurity, research.pandasecurity) were defaced but our top level stuff sits internally so that is safe for now .
    Over here it is not uncommon to see outfits host their public facing presence externally.
    Yeah fair enough I suppose.
    Anyhow that server hosted some old DB stuff ... my name email & credentials were listed on there but it was about 2 years old so it didnt do any harm.
