Google Chrome
Can Chrome be made safe for the privacy conscious? Everything I read suggests it is full of tracking, data mining, & similar spyware junk, yet I also find mention of apps like UnChrome, GoogleClean, etc., DIY articles like:
http://www.ghacks.net/2013/11/09/dis...google-chrome/
and suggestions of using Hosts File to stop Chrome from 'phoning home'.
So can Chrome be made safe for privacy, or is it too full of junk to fix?

Chrome itself, probably not easily.
http://www.chromium.org/ is the pre-Google build of Chrome without the the Google features and tracking. It lacks automatic updates AFAIK and occasionally you'll get stability problems if you're just downloading the most recent builds.
http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php is a security and privacy build of Chrome.
Real security doesn't come with an installer.

I'd like to fix Chrome, if possible, "easily" or not. Any tips? I would also like to try Chromium, but the stability issue has me put off. Is there a stable build for XP Pro SP3? Or Linux (kernel 2.6.29)?
SRware has really bad reviews that say it has either adware, spyware or both. Don't think I'd want to try it.

Obviously, I told google chrome is very very very serious about user security.
That's why they use any kind of security and also they have some rules. If anyone breaks that google banned this user.
Here is the whole method of how to remove managed by your organization chrome windows step by step

Chrome can be safe, but prefer using VPN to stay safe on the internet.

Couldn't agree more. Footprints can be hidden with a VPN. There's only some limited level of privacy you can expect from web browsers.

Very much true. You can't expect full proof privacy over the internet.

This thread was created it over 8 years ago.
I would think/hope the OP (Original Poster)(the person that started this thread) has found a solution by now.
