    I have also installed Yoast for SEO but did not realise that it was security plugin?

    Yoast is not a security plugin. In fact because it is one of the most popular plugins inside the WordPress depository it is a target for hackers. So it is really important to keep all plugins updated.

    The free version of Wordfence is good, it scans and offers basic protection against brute force attempts.
