Why won't my IT department open a firewall port for a TV?
Our team at work wants to install a TV outside the conference room in the office to display who has booked the room. We need access to the Exchange conference room reservations to do that. I requested from our security team to open up the firewall to allow the TV IP address access to the application. They denied the request with no good explanation.
Can someone smarter than me explain whey they wouldn't allow it? I'd like to present a case to them why it should be OK. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
Thanks. Jay

It is because of security purposes. Confidentiality reasons, I guess.
