Change the password and never give it out to anyone.

Get 2FA, make sure to set all the security questions straight. Get warnings about unusual activity. And use LastPass or something close to that.

1. Use a unique password that is a combination of Upper Case, Lower Case, Special Characters and Numbers
2. Do not use the same password in other websites
3. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication provided by Google
4. Provide Recovery information to Google like Secondary email, phone number etc
5. Use a password manager : https://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2407168,00.asp

2 factor authentification, make sure you use private networks and don't save your password anywhere. I would recommend using these tips not just for Gmail, but anywhere, like, you wouldn't want to risk being locked out of your selling account, wouldn't you?xx
