    motherboard and CPU suggestion

Can someone suggest a Micro ATX motherboard and CPU for heavy transcoding that will support this memory kit G.Skill Trident Z 32GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (F4-3200C16Q-32GTZB) because I already have the memory?

The FreeNAS will be used to store and serve files. Plex to stream videos. In the future, I would like to stream 4K videos as well. And possible other plugins and maybe a VM.

You can use Gigabyte Z690 GAMING X Motherboard with DDR5 Ram for the massive load. Get a 12700k as CPU for best performance.

You can try using Sidekick browser to see if that works any better than that out of date version of IE. I've never actually looked into what goes on in a Microsoft Surface device before but they sure are locked down heavily. You might need to download the install file to a USB stick to get it onto the tablet.

Choosing a motherboard and CPU largely depends on the intended use of the computer, as well as personal preference and budget. Here are some suggestions based on different use cases:

    Gaming:

CPU: Intel Core i9-11900K or AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero or Gigabyte AORUS X570 Master
    Productivity:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X or Intel Core i9-11900K
Motherboard: ASUS ProArt B550-Creator or Gigabyte Vision D Z490
    Budget:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-11600K
Motherboard: ASRock B450M Pro4 or ASUS TUF Gaming B560M-PLUS WIFI
It's important to note that other factors such as RAM, storage, and GPU also play a significant role in overall system performance, so it's important to consider those as well when building a computer. Additionally, it's always a good idea to do some research and read reviews before making a final decision.
