I just joined StationX in hopes of training and mentoring resources toward shifting
my career from software QA to cyber security. Considering PentTest+ as my first
cert.

How relevant is completing the Network+ cert towards that goal? There is a lot of
old legacy material in Network+ that is not completely relevant to the material I
need to know for ethical hacking or pentesting, red team security, etc.

What should I do? Maybe cover relevant topics of Network+ body of knowledge, but
not necessarily test out? Suggestions solicited.
